This was a real monster both in size and equipment! It integrated ESS Saber-DAC 9018, 3.5mm and 6.35mm headphone outputs with up to 5V output voltage, optical and coaxial digital output, and built-in Wi-Fi. This was followed by the

DX 50, which, with its higher quality feel and smaller housing, was more suitable for most buyers. Since the DX 50 was only available for a relatively short time, the DX 90 was released. Outwardly, this looked like a "facelift" of the DX 50 , but internally it was completely different. It was characterized by separate DAC and amplifier chips for each channel and significantly lower background noise.iBasso ma
The current series starts with the iBasso DX 80, which has a higher screen resolution, as well as optical digital output in addition to coaxial (both integrated into SPDIF sockets), can be used with two memory cards, and supports native DSD. The D/A converter was also overhauled and switched from ESS Sabre to Cirrus Logic. It was almost a revolution compared to its immediate predecessor, the DX 90, which was coordinated very precisely and analytically. Despite this, the DX 80 still sounds very open and roomy, but at the same time calm and smooth, almost "analog". With excellent operation via capacitive IPS touchscreen and playback time of up to 13 hours, the DX 80 stands out in its class. Then comes DX120 in two colours with 2.5mm balanced output, MangoOS OS and fast charging. The DX160 is the company's new mid-range compact DAP digital media player featuring Android Oreo, a 1080p screen, and dual CS43198 DACs. The two top models, DX150 and DX220, now feature interchangeable amplifier modules and high-end signal processing, all with dual Android and mangoOS operating system capabilities.
Headphones? Absolutely!
iBasso of course has suitable earphones in the IT01 and IT03 range. These headphones (on IT01) rely on a clever combination of Helmholtz resonators, or (rely on IT03 for seamless integration of balanced armature driver and "classic" dynamic driver. No matter which combination you choose, the sound will impress you.
