The heart of the player is SMSL's own design of an extremely fast and precise servo system, offering lightning-fast CD reading and exemplary data security. It includes a vibration dampening system specifically developed for this purpose, ensuring uninterrupted operation even at the highest volumes. An aesthetically pleasing transparent acrylic lid protects the CD drive from dust while providing a spectacular view of the playback process.

The XMOS XU-316 is a third-generation, high-performance USB audio processor responsible for asynchronous digital signal processing and accurate transmission to DAC ES9039Q2M chips. Essentially, this chip ensures minimal jitter, clean and distortion-free signal transfer from computer or USB sources to the DAC chips.
