The YBA VIBE P1 is the first model in the French high-end brand's new VIBE series, a palm-sized portable DAC and headphone amplifier weighing just 120 g. Its aluminium body is made recognisable by a black mirrored-glass front and YBA's signature "smile window" display. Its deliberately wired design focuses on the signal path and the sound.
At the heart of the sound works a 19+5 bit R2R DAC developed with Shanling, built on 126 precision resistors for a natural, full and musical presentation, while NOS and OS modes let you match the sound character to your headphones. With external power, the amplifier delivers up to 1330 mW from the balanced output, giving secure control from sensitive IEMs to serious headphones. It accepts signals over USB and coaxial, the parametric EQ tailors the sound, and the 2750 mAh battery gives up to 11 hours of music.
The YBA VIBE P1 condenses YBA's tuning and high-end thinking into a device that fits in a pocket. It offers the natural, full sound of an R2R design in a slim, refined body that echoes the form language of the Signature and Genesis models.
