The A Series is final's dynamic-driver in-ear range built around the relationship between physical construction and the way music is heard. Its development introduced a new approach to sound evaluation that considers different recording qualities and listening volumes, rather than relying only on fixed test conditions.

Across the range, final applies the same core priorities in different forms: precise driver behaviour, controlled time response, clear sound imaging and long-wearing comfort. The products are not simply arranged by specification count; each model has its own tuning direction and construction level for a different type of listener.

The A2000 is the most accessible route into the current A Series because it concentrates the essentials into a lightweight ABS housing: an in-house f-Core DU driver, carefully controlled diaphragm production, a pressure-conscious three-point fit and a replaceable 2-pin cable. It provides the series' core design thinking without the materials, accessories and increasingly specialised engineering of the upper models.

Its sound also gives it a clear reason to exist. The A2000 is not a reduced A3000 or A4000; it is the energetic option. Fast attacks, sharply outlined notes and taut bass make rhythm easy to follow and keep vocals intelligible in busy arrangements. That direct, immediately understandable character makes it particularly suitable as a first serious wired IEM.

The A2000 gives individual sounds a distinct position and shape. This makes dense arrangements easier to follow, helping vocals remain intelligible and allowing percussion, guitars, synths and other instruments to retain their own space.

Its bass is tuned for speed and definition rather than excess weight. Kick drums and electronic bass lines have a firm leading edge, while the midrange stays open enough for lyrics and melodic detail. This makes the A2000 a capable all-rounder for rock, pop, electronic music, acoustic recordings and faster, rhythm-driven tracks.

At the centre of the A2000 is final's 6 mm f-Core DU dynamic driver. Final designed the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, adhesives and the production equipment used to manufacture the driver in-house. This gives the company control over the small mechanical details that shape the finished sound.

The driver uses a brass front housing, chosen for its high specific gravity and lower susceptibility to magnetic influence compared with typical aluminium. A 30 μm ultra-fine CCAW voice coil and minimal adhesive use reduce moving mass, helping the diaphragm react quickly to changes in the music signal.

Comfort is strongly influenced by pressure. Rather than relying on a large, organic-shaped shell that presses against a broad area of the ear, the A2000 is shaped to keep contact more limited while remaining stable.

The housing is supported at three points: the ear pocket, the eartip in the ear canal and the tragus area. Together, these points help the earphone remain secure across different ear shapes without the constant pressure that can become tiring during longer listening sessions.

The supplied Type E silicone eartips combine two silicone materials with different hardness. The sound-tube section is firmer and grooved to balance strength and flexibility, while the ear-contact section is softer for a comfortable seal.

A correct seal is essential to the intended sound. It helps retain bass response, improves passive noise reduction and stabilises the earphone. Five sizes are included: SS, S, M, L and LL. The red and pink stems make neighbouring sizes easier to distinguish, and different sizes can be used for the left and right ear if needed.

The A2000 uses a high-precision 0.78 mm 2-pin connector, giving the cable a replaceable connection. The supplied 1.2 m black OFC cable ends in a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack and has a soft, flexible outer jacket designed to reduce cable noise caused by contact with clothing.

Type B ear hooks are included for listeners who prefer routing the cable over the ear. This can improve stability in motion and further reduce microphonics. When disconnecting the cable, hold the rigid connector housing and pull it straight out rather than pulling on the cable itself.

The ABS resin housing uses a two-tone finish: a restrained black exterior and a vivid blue inner surface. It gives the A2000 a recognisable appearance while keeping the visible outer side discreet when worn.

The outer surface has final's textured shibo finish. Its fine texture helps make skin oils and fingerprints less noticeable, while also providing a more durable everyday surface than a glossy housing.
