At the core of the i5 is a 97 mm planar driver. Its large surface area, combined with a design that spans the entire earcup, allows the driver to move air more evenly.

The diaphragm is just 2 μm thick. Its low moving mass enables a fast response, helping it track transients and fine details more accurately. With the planar operating principle, the electrical conductor layer is positioned directly on the surface of the diaphragm, distributing the driving force across a larger area.

The conductor layer of the planar diaphragm is created using a precision sputtering process. This manufacturing method enables an extremely thin and uniform conductive structure to be formed across the diaphragm surface.

The highly conductive silver metal layer is just 1.3 μm thick. Its low mass reduces the additional load on the diaphragm while allowing the electrical signal to be efficiently converted into mechanical movement.

The diaphragm is driven by a symmetrical magnet array made from powerful neodymium magnets, designed to provide even and controlled drive.

Each driver uses 22 N50-grade neodymium magnets, giving the headphones a total of 44 magnets, while the symmetrical magnetic field provides a stable driving force for the conductor-coated diaphragm.

The i5's open-back design allows air to flow more freely around the driver, reducing pressure behind the diaphragm. At the same time, the outer grille provides mechanical protection without significantly restricting airflow.

The high-transparency acoustic mesh allows air to escape more freely from the earcup, reducing the acoustic resistance that affects diaphragm movement. This design supports more even and controlled operation of the planar driver.

The headphone design follows the natural shape of the head, while the earcups can rotate both vertically and horizontally. This helps the ear pads rest more evenly against the sides of the head.

The dual-axis earcup suspension is complemented by a continuously adjustable silicone slider. The headband is made from high-strength metal that remains flexible and retains its shape after use.

The i5 ear pads feature soft memory foam with an outer surface combining leather and breathable fabric. Their large over-ear shape provides a more even fit and a more comfortable feel during extended listening sessions.

The memory foam conforms to the shape of the head and the area around the ears, while the perforated and fabric surfaces improve ventilation, helping to reduce heat build-up between the pads and the skin.

The i5 combines walnut and aluminum elements, giving the headphones a natural yet refined appearance.

The earcups are constructed from hand-finished walnut parts and CNC-machined aluminum elements, while the section of the headband that rests against the head is covered in lambskin, creating a stable and refined construction.
