Ten-driver in-ear monitor
The Andromeda 10 was created for Campfire Audio’s tenth anniversary, carrying the iconic Andromeda sound forward with an expanded ten balanced armature driver architecture. Instead of the classic Andromeda five-driver concept, four low-frequency, four mid-frequency and two high-frequency armatures work together in a precisely coordinated system to deliver higher resolution, faster transient response, a more spacious soundstage and more accurate instrument positioning.
The Andromeda 10 does not simply use more drivers. It reimagines the character of one of Campfire Audio’s most recognized in-ear monitors through new acoustic and electronic solutions. The goal was to preserve a detailed, clean and controlled presentation while giving the sound signature deeper foundations, a more stable midrange and airier highs.
The core technical foundation of the Andromeda 10 is its ten balanced armature driver configuration. Four dedicated low-frequency armatures create tight, fast and accurate bass that reaches deep without overwhelming the overall sound signature. This design is especially important in a multi-driver IEM: the bass supports the sound with controlled depth, texture and quick response rather than excessive quantity.
The four midrange-tuned drivers are responsible for the clean presentation of vocals, instruments and musical detail. The two high-frequency armatures work together with the TAEC acoustic tuning element, making the upper range not only more detailed but also airier and more open in space. This architecture gives the Andromeda 10 one of its key strengths: it reveals fine detail while keeping the sound cohesive, natural and easy to follow.
Campfire Audio’s TAEC, or Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber technology, works together with the high-frequency drivers of the Andromeda 10. This proprietary acoustic element functions as a precisely tuned chamber, helping extend the frequency range, create a more open presentation and reproduce spatial information with greater accuracy.
The role of TAEC is not limited to highlighting high-frequency detail: the system also contributes to more refined spatial imaging, layering and instrument placement. As a result, the Andromeda 10 does not sound closed-in or flat, but offers a more open, deeper and better-defined sense of space.
The internal architecture of the Andromeda 10 also includes a specially selected hybrid ceramic-film capacitor. This component plays an important role in tying together the driver groups assigned to different frequency ranges, helping the low-, mid- and high-frequency armatures perform not as separate layers, but as a unified musical whole.
In a multi-driver in-ear monitor of this kind, coherence is essential. Resolution alone is not enough if the frequency ranges do not connect naturally. The internal component selection of the Andromeda 10 therefore supports the unity of the sound, natural transitions and precise balanced armature integration.
The Andromeda 10 is the first Campfire Audio IEM to feature a standard 2-pin connector. The recessed connector design provides a more stable fit while offering wider cable compatibility across different audiophile systems. This change is also a practical step forward for those who use multiple cables, different source devices or players with balanced outputs.
High-quality contacts and the more mechanically protected installation support reliable use over the long term. The 2-pin system allows easier integration into the world of modern IEM cables while preserving the stable connection quality expected from the premium build of the Andromeda 10.
The Andromeda 10 includes a Time Link modular cable that can be used with 3.5 mm single-ended, 4.4 mm balanced and USB-C DAC terminations. This solution offers flexible system integration, allowing the earphones to be easily connected to a portable player, a DAP with balanced output, a desktop device or a USB-C digital source.
The cable uses six individual conductors with separately enameled wires, combining silver-plated and pure copper. This construction supports accurate detail transmission, even tonal balance and stable signal transfer. The USB-C DAC termination is built with a Cirrus Logic Master HiFi DAC chip, allowing the Andromeda 10 to deliver higher-quality conversion than a basic phone adapter when connected directly to a digital source.
The Andromeda 10 housing is precision CNC-machined from aluminium, providing a lightweight, durable and stable structure. The earphone’s distinctive Andromeda green finish reflects the visual heritage of the model, while stainless steel hardware reinforces the mechanical reliability required for everyday use.
The rigid, precisely fitted shell structure is important for more than appearance. In a high-resolution IEM, the geometry, material and internal design of the housing can have a direct effect on acoustic stability. In the Andromeda 10, the solid aluminium body and carefully designed internal space support controlled driver performance and help reduce noise and resonance.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.
The Andromeda 10 received the ecoustics Best IEM in Show award at CanJam New York 2026, reflecting the model’s notable position among high-end in-ear monitors. The product is not a nostalgic reissue, but a technically advanced anniversary flagship within the Andromeda series.
The Campfire Audio Andromeda 10 combines the spirit of the classic Andromeda sound with greater driver capacity, a new NEMC midrange circuit, TAEC high-frequency chamber, modular Time Link cable and modern 2-pin connection. The result is a detailed, fast, spacious and coherent IEM that takes one of Campfire Audio’s most recognized designs to a new level.
The Andromeda 10 package also includes an accessory set worthy of a premium IEM: the earphones come with a large green zippered leather case, multiple types of ear tips, a cleaning tool, a microfiber cloth and a tenth anniversary Campfire Audio commemorative pin. The foam, silicone and High & Clear traction silicone ear tips offer options for different fit and comfort preferences.
Choosing the right ear tip is also important for sound quality with a sensitive, high-resolution in-ear monitor like this. A secure seal affects bass depth, noise isolation, spatial presentation and overall tonal balance. The Andromeda 10 is therefore built as a complete system, not only in terms of drivers and cable, but also in fit and everyday portability.
