At the heart of the B100 is the AK4493S DAC chip developed by Japan’s AKM. This modern D/A converter operates with extremely low distortion and delivers up to a 128 dB dynamic range on the RCA line output, which is an outstanding figure in this category.In practice, that means a clean noise floor, fine detail, and natural soundstage rendering. The B100 does not merely pass along a Bluetooth signal, it converts it into true high-resolution analog audio, so it can also function as a standalone DAC.
The unit uses Bluetooth 5.1 and supports the most important modern audio codecs, including LDAC, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC, as well as one of the highest-spec solutions in the industry: the UAT standard, which can enable up to 24-bit / 192 kHz sampling and 1200 kbps data rates.With a compatible source device, the B100 can receive true high-resolution audio wirelessly with minimal compression loss. Even when streaming from a phone, tablet, or computer, dynamics and detail are preserved, which is rare in this category.
The B100 does not limit you to a single connection method. In addition to the analog RCA line output, it includes digital coaxial, optical, and professional AES/EBU outputs. This allows the unit to be connected directly to an amplifier, an external DAC, or even studio equipment.As a result, the B100 can work either as a standalone Bluetooth DAC or as a pure digital Bluetooth transport, depending on how you want to integrate it into your system.
