ES9038PRO DAC CHIP
The D90SE features the high-end ESS Sabre ES9038Pro DAC chip, which uses 32-bit HyperStream architecture for extremely high performance and accurate, detailed audio reproduction. The DAC performs independent current-to-voltage conversion by utilising the 8 channels of the ES9038Pro chip, driving them in parallel.
The D90SE performs independent I/V (current-to-voltage) conversion on the ES9038Pro's 8 channels and then connects them in parallel. This technique enables high performance.
FULL MQA SUPPORT
The D90SE fully supports MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) encoding on USB, coaxial, optical and AES/EBU inputs. This solution allows you to enjoy the closest quality to the original recording.
BLUETOOTH 5.0 CONNECTION
Equipped with a Qualcomm CSR8675 chip, the D90SE offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing convenient streaming of music directly from a smartphone or tablet. In addition, this chip supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL and LDAC codecs, making it suitable for high-quality processing of high-definition recordings over wireless connections.
XMOS XU216 USB INPUT
The USB input of the D90LE is backed by a 2nd generation XMOS XU2013 16-core chip supporting high sampling rates up to 768 kHz/32bit PCM and DSD512 resolution. The unit is bundled with a custom Thesycon driver for interfacing with Windows-based computers. No driver software is required for Android and MAC systems.
The D90SE has a full range of connectivity options to adapt to any system. You'll find AES/EBU, USB-B, optical, coaxial, I2S, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 digital connectivity. For analogue outputs, it offers asymmetrical RCA and symmetrical XLR connector pairs.
The D90SE offers a selectable output system, the signal can be routed to either the XLR output or the RCA output, or both. It also allows the selection of the output signal level, with XLR output 4V or 5V and RCA output 2V or 2.5V, depending on the needs of the playback system and the receiving amplifiers.
In addition to the DAC mode, which produces a fixed output level, the D90SE also offers a pre-amplifier mode, in which the volume can be freely controlled, so that the unit can be connected directly to power amplifiers, active speakers or even to a power amplifier.
CPLD Altera Max II
The Topping D90LE uses an Altera Max II CPLD for clock signal generation and processing, optimising digital signal handling and significantly reducing digital timing errors, jitter.
