AUTOXING F2000

Heavy-Duty Autonomous Pallet Transport

The AUTOXING F2000 is a heavy-duty autonomous forklift designed for the independent transport of pallets and industrial loads weighing up to 2,000 kg. Developed for warehouses, manufacturing plants and logistics centres, it automates repetitive pallet-moving tasks between storage areas, production zones and workstations without requiring a human driver.

Autonomous Pallet Lifting and Placement

Its low-lift fork system allows the F2000 to approach compatible pallets autonomously, position its forks beneath the load, raise it and transport it to the assigned destination. The forks provide a lifting height of up to 205 mm, with lifting speeds of 40 mm/s under full load and 50 mm/s when unloaded. Lowering speed reaches 50 mm/s with a load and 40 mm/s when empty.

Dimensions and Load Capacity

The F2000 has a rated load capacity of 2,000 kg and weighs approximately 370 kg including its battery. The vehicle measures 1,645 mm in length and 850 mm in width, while the navigation sensor bracket reaches a reference height of 1,890 mm. Its wheelbase is 1,150 mm and its turning radius, including the safety edge, is approximately 1,360 mm.

Configurable Fork Dimensions

The standard forks measure 1,150 × 170 × 60 mm, with a standard outer fork spacing of 680 mm. Alternative fork spacing configurations, including approximately 600 mm and 540 mm, can also be specified, allowing the platform to accommodate different pallet formats and material-handling requirements.

Travel Speed and Climbing Capability

When fully loaded, the F2000 can travel at speeds of up to 1.0 m/s, while its maximum unloaded speed reaches 1.5 m/s. Its climbing capability is rated at approximately 3% when fully loaded and 5% when empty, allowing it to operate across the relatively small gradients typically encountered in industrial facilities.

Compact Pallet Handling and Aisle Requirements

For 1,000 × 1,200 mm pallets, the required right-angle stacking aisle width is approximately 1,975 mm plus a 200 mm safety distance in one orientation, or around 1,960 mm plus the same safety allowance in the other. This allows the F2000 to handle heavy pallets in relatively compact warehouse layouts while maintaining the necessary clearance for manoeuvring.

Multiple Navigation Modes

The F2000 supports several navigation modes, including free navigation, track-based navigation, hybrid navigation and follow-me operation. This allows the robot to be adapted to different logistics processes, from flexible autonomous movement through changing environments to more structured routes where defined paths are preferred.

Dynamic Path Planning and Obstacle Avoidance

AutoXing’s F-Series navigation architecture combines autonomous path planning with dynamic obstacle avoidance. Rather than simply stopping whenever an obstacle appears, the system can perform local avoidance manoeuvres and then return to its planned route, improving flexibility in busy industrial environments.

Comprehensive LiDAR Coverage

Environmental perception is provided by a comprehensive multi-sensor system. A 360° navigation LiDAR offers a detection range of approximately 0.05 to 40 metres, while two additional obstacle-avoidance LiDAR sensors each cover approximately 200° across the same distance range.

Fork-Tip Obstacle Detection

A separate LiDAR mounted near the fork tips provides approximately 180° coverage and detects obstacles between around 0.05 and 12 metres. This additional sensor helps monitor the area immediately around the forks, where precise positioning and obstacle detection are especially important during pallet pickup and placement.

Dual Depth-Camera Detection

The LiDAR system is complemented by two depth cameras with an approximate horizontal field of view of 72° and vertical field of view of 50.5°. Their detection range extends from approximately 0.3 to 4 metres, providing detailed spatial information about the area immediately surrounding the forklift.

Multi-Sensor Environmental Perception

Two RGB cameras with a 215° field of view and 1280 × 720 resolution provide additional visual information. A 6-axis IMU and wheel odometry further support localisation and movement tracking, allowing the robot to combine several independent data sources when calculating its position and route.

Precise Pallet Alignment

Positioning accuracy reaches approximately ±5 mm and ±1°. For an autonomous forklift, this precision is particularly important when approaching pallets, aligning the forks correctly and placing loads at defined locations within the warehouse or production environment.

Automatic Pallet-Zone Recognition

AutoXing’s F-Series also supports automatic pallet-zone recognition and can work with multiple pallet sizes within the same logistics process. By combining LiDAR, depth cameras and other sensor data, the system is designed to identify pallet areas and adapt its approach accordingly rather than relying exclusively on permanently fixed pickup coordinates.

Integrated Safety Systems

Safety is supported by a front safety bumper, two emergency-stop buttons and the robot’s surrounding perception system. Electromagnetic braking and servo-controlled electric steering provide controlled movement, while the sensor system continuously monitors the robot’s surroundings during operation.

Electric Drive and Steering System

The F2000 uses polyurethane wheels and a servo-driven propulsion system. Its drive motor provides 1 kW of power, while the lifting motor is rated at 0.8 kW and the steering servo at 0.4 kW. Electric steering allows the navigation system to control direction accurately during both normal travel and precise pallet approach manoeuvres.

Protection and Operating Conditions

The entire vehicle carries an IP43 protection rating and is specified for operation between -10 and +65 °C. The construction also incorporates UV- and corrosion-resistant features, while the specified storage temperature range extends from -20 to +65 °C. Charging is intended for indoor environments between approximately 5 and 40 °C.

Indoor and Outdoor Operation

The robot can also operate in suitably prepared outdoor areas within industrial sites or campuses. This allows transport routes to extend between connected buildings or across prepared sections of a facility where environmental and surface conditions remain within the specified operating limits.

Battery Capacity and Fast Charging

Power is supplied by a 48 V, 50 Ah battery with a rated operating time of approximately 6–8 hours. A complete charge from 0 to 100% takes around 1.6 hours, significantly reducing charging downtime compared with slower charging systems.

Automatic and Manual Charging

Both automatic and manual charging are supported. When an automatic charging station is installed, the F2000 can return to charge according to its operational schedule, allowing the system to support continuous 24/7 workflows when tasks and charging cycles are appropriately coordinated.

Integrated Touchscreen and Status Indicators

A 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1280 × 800 resolution provides direct access to robot information and basic controls. LED indicators and two integrated loudspeakers allow the forklift to communicate its status visually and acoustically to nearby personnel.

Flexible Connectivity Options

Connectivity includes 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G mobile communication. An optional 5G module can also be installed where higher-speed mobile connectivity or specific site infrastructure requires it.

Independent Computing Architecture

The F2000 operates using Android 11 and Linux Ubuntu-based systems. Its main chassis computer combines four Cortex-A76 cores running at up to 2.4 GHz with four Cortex-A55 cores at up to 1.8 GHz, together with 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. A separate computing system manages the display and user interface.

Integration with Logistics and Production Systems

The forklift is designed to operate as part of a wider automated logistics system rather than only as an independent vehicle. AutoXing provides open interfaces for integration with external platforms, while the F-Series supports connections with WMS and MES environments as well as VDA5050-compatible systems.

Autonomous Handling of Standard Pallets

The F2000’s main advantage is its combination of a 2,000 kg payload capacity with fully autonomous pallet handling. Unlike the L-Series lifting robots, which travel underneath compatible shelves and lift the entire carrier from below, the F2000 uses conventional pallet forks and can therefore be incorporated more naturally into logistics processes based around standard pallets and palletised goods.

Automated Transport Assignments

This means transport assignments can be linked to existing warehouse or production workflows. For example, a material request can be generated by a production-management system, assigned to an available F2000 and completed autonomously without requiring a forklift driver to receive and execute each individual instruction.

Integration with External Infrastructure

The robot can also communicate with external infrastructure and equipment. Supported integrations include lift control, automatic doors, notification lights and speakers, call devices, tablets, follow-me accessories, conveyor modules, shelves and pallets.

Complex Automated Logistics Workflows

This allows the F2000 to operate across more complex logistics environments. With the required infrastructure, routes can extend through automatic doors or between different areas of a facility, while peripheral equipment can be incorporated directly into the automated workflow.

Remote Task and Map Management

Remote management is supported through AutoXing’s software platform. Operators can issue tasks, edit maps and review task statistics remotely, while the central robot-management platform provides user-permission management and operational data analysis.

Real-Time Monitoring and Fault Alerts

Real-time remote monitoring provides visibility into the robot’s current status and operating condition. Faults can generate immediate alerts, and certain issues can be processed remotely, helping reduce unnecessary on-site intervention.

Remote Deployment and Flexible Map Editing

Remote deployment and map editing are also supported. This allows facilities to modify routes and operating areas when layouts change, without requiring the entire navigation system to be rebuilt from the beginning. AutoXing’s current F-Series architecture also supports incremental map updates and flexible path editing for changing production and warehouse environments.

Multi-Robot Fleet Management

When several autonomous forklifts are deployed at the same site, central dispatching and fleet-management tools can coordinate their tasks. The system can allocate transport assignments between available robots and manage movement across shared areas, supporting larger-scale automated material-flow systems.

Area-to-Area Pallet Transport

AutoXing also supports area-to-area transport workflows. Instead of manually specifying the exact start and end point for every individual pallet movement, operators can define pickup and drop-off zones, after which the system can automatically identify and execute suitable transport tasks between those areas.

High-Throughput Pallet Logistics

This approach is particularly useful in high-throughput warehouse processes where multiple pallets need to be transferred repeatedly between the same production, storage or staging areas. Multi-robot coordination can manage task allocation and traffic while the forklifts execute the individual transport operations.
