We love music and challenges: When developing Saphire, we kept in mind the same high quality requirements that we applied to our deservedly successful headphones The Saphire tree is the result of many years of knowledge accumulated during headphone production, it realizes the inimitable ULTRASONE sound quality in the size of an In-Ear monitor. With six drivers per side, Saphire delivers an unparalleled earphone experience, creating a new reference in its class. It is produced exclusively by hand, in the workshop of Gut Raucherberg in Bavaria, Germany.

No compromise

Many manufacturers are trying to achieve perfect sound, some with dynamic drivers made using unique materials, some with dynamic and vibrating language (BA) drivers.
At ULTRASONE, we decided on a completely different approach: with one hybrid technology with four channels per side, six drives, Saphire achieves a uniquely detailed soundscape across the entire frequency range.
Deep, solid bass via a vibrating tongue (BA) driver, subtle mid- and detail-grabbing high-range with one vibrating tongue (BA) driver each, and two electrostatic Super Tweeters for distortion-free output of the super-high range.

Technology

Expressing the sound of the Ultrasone, the "SAPHIRE" earphones are of the electrostatic type. Premium class high-end hybrid with 6-way 6-drive configuration

for the mid-range, one BA for the high range, and two electrostatic tweeters for the ultra-high range.

This electrostatic tweeter uses a built-in transformer to amplify and drive it from the earphone output, eliminating the need for a dedicated power supply. The cable uses a 2-pin connector. Two 3.5mm/3-pin and 2.5mm/4-pin connectors are included in the package

Hybrid 4-way 6 drive

With the drive configuration below, music is played over a wide range and with an overwhelming amount of information. It also features a huge sound field and soundscape expression that is clearly localized, tight, which is unique about ULTRASONE.

■ Dual electrostatic tweeters for ultra-high range

The ultralight 6μg diaphragm with gold coating for ultra-high frequencies provides precise transient characteristics. It achieves an overwhelmingly clear, high-frequency reproduction with extremely low distortion characteristic of the electrostatic type. In addition, although it is an electrostatic solution, it does not require a separate amplifier. The built-in transformer with a 16 μm wired 15,000 coil amplifies the output power of the headphones 100 times and supplies it as a preload voltage, so it can be used when connected to the player's headphone jack, like a regular headset.

■ Aircraft grade aluminum is used for the housing, which has high durability and rigidity at the same time. It not only suppresses resonance, but also gives it a luxurious look.

■ 2-pin connector

The headset cable has a 2-pin connector. It includes two balanced plugs with 3.5mm/3-poles and 2.5mm/4-pole
