The BOX X5 accepts signals from both moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) cartridges. A dedicated control on the unit lets you switch between the two modes.

MM/MC compatibility and four gain levels provide suitable settings for a range of cartridges, allowing the phono preamplifier to integrate into different turntable systems.

The 38, 48, 56 and 66 dB gain settings allow the BOX X5 signal level to be matched to the connected MM or MC cartridge.

The BOX X5 uses precise RIAA equalization to restore the frequency response applied to vinyl records, reproducing every note with clarity and detail.

Its 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response with ±0.015 dB accuracy delivers precise signal transmission across the entire audible range.

The BOX X5 signal path uses 2% precision polyester film capacitors, copper-lead audio capacitors, 0.1% high-precision film resistors and an OPA1612 op-amp.

Together with gold-plated RCA jacks, these carefully selected components preserve subtle details and deliver a warm, inviting sound.

The swappable op-amp design allows the sound character of the BOX X5 to be customized. The factory-installed op-amp can be replaced with a compatible dual discrete op-amp in a DIP8 configuration.

Trying different compatible op-amps allows the sound of the phono preamplifier to be tailored to the system and individual preferences.

Connect the turntable to the MM/MC RCA input and an amplifier or another compatible line-level audio device to the RCA output. The grounding terminal provides a secure connection for turntables equipped with a suitable ground wire.

The one-touch power button, direct gain control and MM/MC selector provide clear, quick operation for everyday use.

The minimalist, functional design of the BOX X5 is complemented by an all-aluminum alloy chassis. Its compact dimensions take up minimal space in an audio system.
