Kii Audio Three PAIR is an ultra–high-end self-powered loudspeaker system that builds on Bruno Putzeys’ Ncore amplification and high‑resolution, linear‑phase DSP crossover. Its monolithic composite cabinet with aluminum front and rear plates and rigid internal bracing minimizes resonances, delivering exceptional transient accuracy and low distortion for demanding home listening and professional studio work.
Each Three employs six individually amplified drivers, each fed by its own DAC: a waveguided 1" dome tweeter, a 5" midrange, and four 6.5" woofers mounted on the sides and rear form the three‑way system. Per speaker, 6×250 W of Ncore amplification (total 1500 W; 3000 W per pair) and precision FIR DSP ensure tightly controlled, low‑distortion playback, with an optional low‑latency mode available for studio applications.
Active Wave Focusing creates a cardioid radiation pattern through the low/mid band, significantly reducing rear‑wall energy and simplifying placement in both small and large rooms. In the Three, the effect extends unusually low; adding the BXT bass module pushes cardioid control to even lower frequencies and higher SPL, making the system scalable and future‑proof.
Connectivity and control: Three provides balanced analog XLR and AES3 digital as standard. The optional Kii Control adds USB (PCM up to 24‑bit/384 kHz, DSD64 DoP), coaxial S/PDIF, and optical TOSLINK, along with volume, input selection, and a display. Proprietary KiiLink over Cat6 ensures robust digital communication between speakers and BXT modules in a stereo setup. Boundary (Free/Wall/Corner) and Contour adjustments allow rapid bass and tonal tailoring to the room.
