Shanling aims to liven up the world of portable DAP (Digital Audio Player) devices with the M5 Ultra digital audio player, featuring modern components and a renewed exterior. The AKM AK4499EX + AK4191EQ chip combination and the XMOS XU316 USB interface are responsible for high resolution audio, boasting the same perfect I/V conversion stage as the brand's flagship portable player, the M9 Plus. The TPA6120A2 amplifier chip provides up to 1070mW output power at 32 Ohms. With a 6000mAh battery, up to 10.5 hours of playback time can be achieved depending on the output. The two-way Bluetooth 5.2 connection supports LDAC resolution, while WiFi 2.4/5G supports DLNA and Airplay protocols, allowing the player to connect to a NAS, for example. Native support for TIDAL streaming service is also provided.
The M5 Ultra features a 4.7" curved IPS touchscreen in its angular aluminum housing, along with a two-way USB-C port, a MicroSD card slot for up to 2TB, a 3.5mm jack, and a symmetrical 4.4mm jack output conveniently accessible. The M5 Ultra is available in black and silver colors.
