Desktop SACD Player DAC Headphone Amplifier and Streamer
The SCD1.3 shines not only as a High-End DAC (digital-to-analog converter) and player, but Shanling introduces an advanced, top-of-the-line, multifunctional device. Tuned based on Shanling's flagship portable player, the M9 Plus, it features the AKM AK4499EX and AK4191EQ DAC chip combo, along with XMOS XU316 USB interface and TPA6120 headphone amplifier. It delivers extremely detailed and expansive soundstage, precise sound quality, while adding a pleasant warmth and smoothness to the classic Shanling sound. With extremely precise volume control and the MUSES8920 acting as a preamplifier, the SCD1.3 can be directly paired with power amplifiers or active speakers, allowing for a simple and high-quality 2-channel speaker setup. It uses the MediaTek ME1389EE system alongside the Sanyo HD870 laser tray mechanism, fully utilizing the capabilities of high-resolution SACD discs, but also excellently handling traditional CDs. For hybrid SACD discs, a separate button assists in easy switching between SACD and CD layers.
In addition to playing CD formats, it offers numerous features, including Bluetooth functionality, USB-A U-Disk port, as well as NAS, DLNA, and AirPlay network support. Through Bluetooth 5 connection, AAC, aptX HD, and LDAC resolutions are available, and the free Eddict Player app allows for easy remote control of the device. Alongside USB-B, coaxial SPDIF, and Toslink optical inputs, it also provides I2S HDMI, coaxial SPDIF, and Toslink optical digital outputs, as well as RCA and balanced XLR analog outputs, making the SCD1.3 compatible with almost any sound system.
The SCD1.3 is built with a simple and elegant aluminum chassis, featuring a 5-inch M-Touch touch screen, available in black and silver colors. Exceptional performance for lossless music listening, not just for collectors.
