The SMSL PL200 MK2 is a premium desktop CD player, MQA-CD DAC and headphone amplifier that brings physical music playback together with modern digital functionality. Its top-loading CD mechanism, USB DAC capability and bidirectional Bluetooth connectivity form a versatile music hub in one elegant aluminium chassis.
An ESS ES9039Q2M DAC handles high-resolution PCM, DSD and MQA formats, while the proprietary PASS servo system supports accurate CD data reading. Dedicated 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm headphone outputs, together with RCA and balanced XLR outputs, provide flexible integration with headphone and desktop hi-fi systems.
The PL200 MK2 works as both a Bluetooth receiver and transmitter, allowing audio from CD or USB sources to be sent to compatible wireless devices. Its Transport Mode disables the internal analogue stages, enabling the unit to operate as a focused, high-precision digital CD transport.
