The Denafrips IRIS 15th is the entry-level digital-to-digital converter (DDC) in the Denafrips range – yet it embodies the brand’s fifteen years of experience in digital audio technology.
The meticulous development and refinement has taken many things from the core design philosophy of our flagship DAC, and integrates a completely new FPGA architecture for reconstructing digital signals, as well as high-precision clock technology to reproduce music with exceptional clarity, precision and natural realism.
At the heart of the IRIS 15th is Denafrips’ custom-designed FPGA-DSP processing core, which works in concert with FIFO buffering and rescheduling technology to eliminate transmission jitter and timing errors. Each digital data is processed with the highest possible precision to ensure a clean, stable and distortion-free output signal.
Powered by a high-performance STM32F466 ARM MCU USB module, the IRIS 15th provides full compatibility with PC, Mac and Raspberry Pi systems. Combined with a FIFO buffer and femtosecond crystal oscillators, the IRIS 15th transforms traditional computer playback into professional digital audio transmission, delivering unparalleled clarity, transparency and accuracy.
The IRIS 15th is equipped with a robust aluminum housing, which comes from the same series as DENAFRIPS' high-end models, giving you an entry-level housing configuration at an entry-level price.
It completely replaces the original steel housing. The new housing is precision CNC machined and finished with a combination of anodizing and fine satin polishing. This not only significantly improves mechanical stability, vibration resistance and thermal performance, but also provides a rich metallic luster that highlights Denafrips' uncompromising craftsmanship.
This sophisticated mechanical process improves both visual and durability aspects, while simultaneously creating a solid foundation for excellent sound stability and long-term reliability.
