The Morel Avyra S1201W is an active, wireless subwoofer that is part of the Morel Avyra HiFi series. This compact subwoofer, equipped with a 12-inch long-throw driver, is the perfect complement to the Avyra speakers, such as the 622 or 633 models, ensuring dynamic and controlled bass sound for music listening and home theater applications.
The subwoofer features a single 12-inch (approximately 30 cm) long-stroke diaphragm, driven by a dual magnet system-powered amplifier, maximizing precise control. The wireless connection is based on the WiSA protocol, enabling interference-free, high-resolution audio transmission when paired with other members of the Avyra series, allowing for cable-free placement in the room. The active design includes a built-in amplifier that optimizes performance, minimizing distortion, and ensuring quick, accurate reproduction of low frequencies even at high volumes.
The deep sound of the S1201W is precise and powerful, with outstanding control at the lowest frequencies, avoiding any "boominess" or "sluggishness", which is ideal for movies to ensure that explosions and effects remain authentic. When listening to music, the subwoofer naturally complements the main speakers, enriching the bass without overpowering the mid-high range, thanks to the phase-controlled and crossover filters. Due to its compact design, it can be flexibly integrated into smaller living rooms or systems where extending the deep tones is crucial for the complete sound experience.
