The original version of the legendary KLH Model Five loudspeaker was first introduced in 1968 and became the best-selling loudspeaker of its time in the 1970s. The main reason for this was the unique acoustic suspension design, which dominated the loudspeaker industry for decades and made the KLH Model Five one of the best-selling speakers of its time.
In 2021, KLH introduced the latest version of the Model Five, building on the original Acoustic Suspension concept, but incorporating the latest speaker and crossover technologies and offering a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
The hermetically sealed, reflex ventless sound box is capable of extremely lifelike, natural, and dynamic sound without being sensitive to placement.
Its timeless design, understated elegance and noble choice of materials are perfectly suited to the most refined room settings. The latest version of this classic loudspeaker features three sets of cast aluminum speaker baskets covered in real wood veneer and uses the acoustic suspension design principles made famous by founder Henry Kloss.
The English Walnut Model Five comes with a beautiful 'Stone Wash Linen' speaker grille that accentuates the rich finish of the real wood veneer. The exotic West African mahogany finish is matched by the 'Old-World Linen' speaker grille, while the 'Nordic Noir' black veneer is complemented by the 'Medici Grey Linen' grey speaker grille. The grilles can be purchased separately, so you can customize the look to suit the mood of your room.
