SHIELDED HIGH-PURITY OCC IEM UPGRADE CABLE WITH INTERCHANGEABLE CONNECTORS

ddHiFi BC130 Net

The ddHiFi BC130 Net, also known as Nyx Net, is a 4.4mm balanced IEM upgrade cable built around high-purity Taiwanese OCC conductors, flexible shielding and the interchangeable Nyx Pin earphone connector system. Its multi-layer insulation, sand-coloured nylon outer braid and titanium alloy details combine to create a soft, flexible cable with carefully engineered protection for portable and desktop audio systems.

NYX CABLES FOR DIFFERENT IEM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

The three current models in the ddHiFi Nyx cable family use different conductor materials, shielding designs and source-side terminations to suit different IEM systems. The BC130 Pro is a practical choice when you want to switch between 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm source connections with a single cable. The BC130 Net is a shielded OCC design dedicated to 4.4mm systems, while the BC130C Eryx combines four conductor materials in a hybrid braid and is available with different 4.4mm plug options.

All three models use the Nyx Pin system, allowing them to work with multiple compatible IEM connector types. The best choice therefore depends primarily on the output of your source device, your preferred conductor and shielding design, and how you intend to use the cable. The comparison below highlights functional differences rather than ranking the models by sound quality or performance.

ddHiFi BC130 Net Nyx Net IEM upgrade cable detail — The flexible braided outer sleeve of the Nyx Net makes the cable easy to manage in both portable and desktop IEM systems.

The table summarises the configurations specified by the manufacturer. Always verify the exact termination and included accessories of the selected product version before ordering.

ddHiFi BC130 Net high-purity OCC conductor and internal cable structure — The Nyx Net main conductor combines high-purity single-crystal copper strands of different diameters with individually insulated conductor elements.

HIGH-PURITY OCC MAIN CONDUCTOR WITH LITZ TYPE 2 CONSTRUCTION

The BC130 Net uses high-purity Taiwanese OCC, or single-crystal copper, in a Litz Type 2 configuration. According to the manufacturer, the conductor structure is (Φ0.08 × 1 + Φ0.05 × 8) × 7 × 4 strands. This circular arrangement combines thicker and extremely fine OCC strands and follows the same fundamental design philosophy used in the Nyx Pro.

Each conductor strand is individually insulated. The first internal layer uses high-density Japanese NUC HDPE, while the second layer uses highly transparent American SoftFlex PVC. This multi-layer construction helps maintain an orderly conductor geometry while providing the electrical separation required for reliable signal transmission.

FLEXIBLE COAXIAL SHIELDING

The Nyx Net combines coaxial shielding with an external braided protective layer. ddHiFi describes this structure as a flexible shielding solution designed to work together with the conductor system while maintaining practical handling and everyday usability.

According to the manufacturer's tuning description, the cable design is intended to emphasise transparency in the high frequencies, while the version fitted with the Pentaconn OFC plug may provide a fuller mid-bass presentation. The perceived effect will depend on the complete audio system, the connected IEM and individual listening preferences, so compatibility and overall system design should remain the primary considerations when selecting the cable.

ddHiFi BC130 Net shielded 4.4mm balanced plug construction — The Nyx Net shielding layer is connected to the fifth contact segment of the 4.4mm plug.

ddHiFi BC130 Net sand-coloured nylon braid and titanium alloy details — The high-density sand-coloured nylon braid forms a flexible outer protective layer around the internal conductors.

TITANIUM ALLOY DETAILS AND SAND-COLOURED NYLON BRAID

The Nyx Net uses titanium alloy hardware and a high-density sand-coloured nylon braided outer sleeve. The construction is designed to balance easy handling, a soft tactile feel and everyday durability, helping the cable remain flexible during portable use while also being easy to route in a desktop audio system.

The woven outer sleeve provides an additional layer of physical protection over the internal insulation. With a weight of approximately 40g and a length of 120cm, the cable is suitable for both pocket-sized digital audio players and desktop DAC or headphone amplifier setups.

NYX PIN INTERCHANGEABLE IEM CONNECTOR SYSTEM

ddHiFi developed the Nyx Pin interchangeable earphone-side connector system in collaboration with Eletech. The BC130 Net includes one pair of MMCX modules and three different pairs of 0.78mm 2-Pin modules, allowing the same cable to be used with several compatible IEMs that employ different connector configurations.

The 0.78mm modules are designed for different socket depths. The transparent-housing version uses a 3.0mm configuration, the black-housing version uses a 3.5mm configuration, while the flat version is intended for non-recessed sockets. Before connecting the cable, always verify the exact socket type specified by the IEM manufacturer, check the left and right markings, and confirm that the earphone does not use QDC or another incompatible 2-Pin standard.

ddHiFi BC130 Net Nyx Pin interchangeable 0.78mm 2-Pin and MMCX connector modules — The Nyx Pin set includes modules for MMCX, 3.0mm 0.78mm 2-Pin, 3.5mm 0.78mm 2-Pin and non-recessed 0.78mm 2-Pin IEM sockets.

SAFE HANDLING OF THE INTERCHANGEABLE CONNECTOR MODULES

Always attach or remove the module in a straight line without applying excessive force. If you encounter resistance, check the selected module type and its alignment before continuing. Forcing the connector may damage either the cable or the IEM socket.

ddHiFi BC130 Net standard 4.4mm balanced plug — The standard version uses a 4.4mm balanced termination with an internal moulded strain-relief structure.

STANDARD 4.4MM OR PENTACONN OFC TERMINATION

The standard BC130 Net version is fitted with a 4.4mm balanced plug. ddHiFi uses an internal moulded fixing structure on this version to help keep the braided outer sleeve securely connected to the plug during long-term use. The 4.4mm connector must only be used with a properly designed 4.4mm balanced headphone output.

The Pentaconn version uses a gold-plated OFC plug with Pentaconn's original grey housing. These terminations should not be treated as universally interchangeable through a simple adapter, so always choose the correct version according to the actual headphone output of your digital audio player, DAC or headphone amplifier.

PENTACONN OFC PLUG WITH JEITA RC-8141C COMPLIANCE

The Pentaconn OFC version uses the NBP1-14-001 straight 4.4mm plug designed for earphone cable termination. According to the manufacturer, its oxygen-free copper construction, optimised cross-sectional design and short electrical path between the five soldering and contact points help support consistent resistance across the contacts. The plug complies with the JEITA RC-8141C standard.

High-purity OFC is a relatively soft material, which means the gold-plated surface may show wear more easily than a conventional 4.4mm plug. This is a characteristic of the material, so the connector should be protected from unnecessary scratching and mechanical stress during connection, disconnection and storage. The Pentaconn version is assembled using a hand-applied adhesive fixing method.

ddHiFi BC130 Net Pentaconn OFC 4.4mm balanced plug — The Pentaconn OFC version combines the original grey Pentaconn housing with a gold-plated oxygen-free copper 4.4mm plug.

ddHiFi BC130 Net connected to a 4.4mm balanced headphone output — The 4.4mm plug connects to the balanced headphone output of a compatible portable player, DAC or headphone amplifier.

FOR PORTABLE AND DESKTOP IEM SYSTEMS

The BC130 Net is designed for IEM systems built around the 4.4mm balanced output of a portable digital audio player, USB DAC or desktop headphone amplifier. First select the correct Nyx Pin module for your IEM, then connect the 4.4mm plug to a compatible balanced headphone output.

Before connecting your earphones, reduce the source volume to a low level, especially when using highly sensitive in-ear monitors. The cable does not convert a single-ended output into a balanced output, so 3.5mm, 6.35mm or other source connections require a solution that is electrically compatible with the design of the source device.

ddHiFi BC130 Net used with a compatible IEM — The selected Nyx Pin connector module attaches to the compatible earphone-side socket of the IEM.
