The EX-M1+ retains all the strengths of its predecessor: dual 400 VA transformers, microprocessor-controlled MUSE volume control, and the fast, dynamic EXICON MOSFET output stage. The quasi-mono design with symmetrically placed side modules ensures channel separation, minimizing crosstalk and maximizing soundstage.

The sound is characterized by fast transient response, precise detail retrieval, and tight yet natural bass. Its neutral character allows it to deliver faithful, uncolored performance with a wide variety of speakers.

One of the biggest innovations in the EX-M1+ is the Preamp Output and HT Bypass function. The preamp output allows the amplifier to operate as a standalone preamp, or to connect to a subwoofer or monoblocks in a bi-amping configuration.

The HT Bypass input can be activated at the touch of a button on the remote. In this mode, the preamp stage is bypassed, and the EX-M1+ acts purely as a power amplifier, perfectly integrating with a home theater processor. This flexibility makes the amplifier truly universal.

The amplifier consists of two gold-anodized heatsink-mounted power modules, each driving two pairs of EXICON MOSFET transistors in Class AB per channel. The result is 215 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 290 watts into 4 ohms, providing plenty of headroom for larger and more demanding loudspeakers.
The damping factor of 2000 ensures precise speaker control, while the high-speed power supply and ultra-high slew rate design deliver a crystal-clear, highly transparent soundstage. The circuit is DC-coupled, with no capacitors in the signal path, further enhancing clarity and detail.

The 25-kilogram chassis is built from solid aluminum, providing both stability and shielding, along with a sleek, modern appearance. A dimmable display and redesigned remote enhance user convenience, while every detail of the internal design serves sound quality.
