The SHANLING CD50 is a compact desktop CD player designed for accurate, gapless playback of CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs. Its tray-loading mechanism, HD850 laser assembly, 2.2-inch display, front-panel controls and included infrared remote provide convenient operation.
The Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC and dual SGM8262 headphone amplifiers convert the disc signal into a detailed analog output. The 3.5mm output delivers 210 mW, while the 4.4mm balanced output provides up to 830 mW at 32 ohms, allowing the CD50 to function as a direct headphone playback solution.
The RCA output can be used in either fixed Line Out or variable Pre-Out mode, making it suitable for connection to active speakers or a separate amplifier. Coaxial and optical digital outputs support the use of an external DAC, while the compact aluminium chassis with glass front panel maintains Shanling’s distinctive design language.
