Compared to its predecessor, the new CD80II model is a refined, modern-style CD player that has undergone significant internal and external transformations compared to Shanling's previous premium all-in-one CD player, the CD80. The reliable tray-design CD reader is housed in an aluminum chassis, giving the device a robust yet sophisticated appearance. With Shanling's fourth-generation servo system and the HD850 drive, the device ensures flawless CD playback with exceptional tracking accuracy.
Inside, the Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chip allows for decoding up to PCM 384kHz/32-bit or DSD256 natively, providing a richly detailed music experience. Amplification is achieved through a pair of SGM8262 chips, delivering 215mW SE or 850mW BAL power at 32Ω, making it perfectly usable with a wide range of headphones. The Panasonic FC capacitors provide clean, noise-free power, resulting in an articulated soundstage.
