S-Logic® natural surround sound - natural, 3-dimensional sound experience
The S-Logic® Plus comes directly from innovations developed for top model headphones. This sophisticated new technology combines precision damping with micro-acoustic reinforcement, allowing optimal complement of drivers and spatial parameters. As a result, the acoustically redesigned structure and fine-tuning of the new models lead to the most refined sound perception with more lifelike perception of sounds and instruments.

Humans use the outer ear and ear lobes to understand three-dimensional space, determining the direction and distance of sound. Instead of the musical information reaching the inner ear directly, the S-Logic® signals reflect off the outer ear in different directions before entering the auditory canal to create natural three-dimensional sound. S-Logic® is the only headphone system that incorporates the method of natural hearing sensation. S-Logic® enhances the joy of listening to music. S-Logic® does not require artificial echo, digital sound processing. S-Logic® not only creates natural surround sound, but also allows for a reduction in the sound pressure level at the eardrum by up to 40% (3-4 dB). This reduces the risk of hearing damage while ensuring fatigue-free music listening.

The special ULTRASONE ULE (Ultra Low Emission) technology
Most headphone drivers create a low-frequency magnetic field when converting an electrical signal into an acoustic signal, which we hear as music. ULTRASONE developed a special MU metal shielding, called ULE (Ultra Low Emissions), to reduce this radiation by up to 98% compared to conventional headphones. This technology has passed the international review test. ULTRASONE originally developed the ULE technology for professionals, as they spend half their lives in headphones. With increasing consumer demand, the ULE health-preserving technology has been incorporated into all Ultrasone products.

The modern exterior conceals top technology, as this is the first medium-sized headphone with S-LogicEX surround sound. The realization of this principle was inspired by the creation of natural surround sound for the speakers. With decentralized speaker positioning, sound typical of speakers can be perceived within a few centimeters. With this technology, the sound becomes natural, free of digital coloring even without an external D/A converter.

The Ultrasone Edition 8 EX focuses attention on the impressive details of the headphone. The outer casing is coated with a chrome-colored PVD (physical vapor deposition) layer. This coating is known for its high gloss and durability. The external ear cups are fitted with ceramic inserts and engraved logos.
The inner ear cups of the Ultrasone Edition 8 EX headphone and the headband are made of very soft, genuine dark gray Ethiopian lambskin. This leather also provides a high degree of natural noise isolation.

The solid aluminum headband of the Ultrasone Edition 8 EX headphones is extremely advanced and precise; it is specifically made for the Edition 8 EX headphones. The headband is covered with very soft, genuine lambskin. The ear cushions are held in place by four strong magnets and can be easily removed with slight pressure.

Thanks to the ULTRASONE S-Logic ® EX technology, these headphones feature a MYLAR driver coated with titanium, resulting in a wide frequency range and abundant bass with clear sound reproduction. The ULE (Ultra Low Emission) MU-metal shielding technology reduces magnetic radiation by 98%. The connection between the player and the headphones is ensured by high-quality OFC cables with LEMO connectors.
