Take control with your robot arm
VIDEO
Gripping end tools play a key role in the highly flexible and reliable robot cell. Whether it's moving a workpiece between work areas or an assembly process, your robotic arm will need a gripper. The Robotiq 2-finger gripper end tool has articulated fingers, each with two joints. This allows the gripper to contact an object at up to five points of contact. The fingers are under-actuated, i.e. they have fewer motors than there are joints in total. This design allows the fingers to automatically adapt to the shape of the object being gripped (to fit the wall of the workpiece), eliminating the need for programming and engineering skills to precisely adjust the gripper to grip the workpiece.
Its assembly is designed in a very user-friendly way, once you have attached the end tool to the end of its robot arm using the hexagonal screws, after connecting the communication and power supply cable, you can set up communication in 3 clicks on the user interface. Once the program has detected the gripper, you can start automating your automation task! This functionality is called Plug&Play design in robotics.
The gripper can be operated using IOS or android application, Computer software control interface or programming language.
