Desktop CD Player Transport
The ET3 is the top-quality, more concentrated member of Shanling's top-loading CD player series, which can be perfectly paired with High-End DAC (digital-to-analog converter) devices as a dedicated CD transport. For the ET3 to function, a DAC must be part of the system. The heart of the transport is driven by several high-performance components, such as the dual-core Ingenic X2000 chip responsible for low latency, the CT7302CL chip that upscales to DSD and PCM, or the Philips SAA7824 servo, and SANYO HD850 CD drive, which guarantees stable playback. In addition to USB-A input and output, the ET3 offers I2S, AES/EBU, Optical, and COAX outputs, along with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity that supports aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs. The dual-band WiFi supports DLNA and AirPlay protocols, with the free Eddict Player application assisting in remote control and streaming of music. The ET3 matches the size of the EH3 DAC and headphone amplifier and is equipped with a 320x290 pixel resolution IPS LCD display. The player, housed in aluminum, features a removable lid made with darkened tempered glass. The package includes a power cable and remote control.
The ET3 was co-designed with the EH3 DAC and headphone amplifier, which together through I2S connection meet the highest demands for CD and MQA-CD listening.
