The Shanling M3 Plus Master is the compact successor to the popular M3 Ultra, bringing significant updates and new features to portable music listening. The Android 13–based, Snapdragon 665 octa‑core high‑resolution audio player uses four Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips, while the amplifier section relies on two independent SGM8262 chips, delivering accurate, dynamic and clean sound reproduction with 800mW @ 32Ω output power. Through Bluetooth 5, the device supports both transmitting and receiving LDAC‑quality audio. With 2.4G/5G WiFi it supports DLNA and AirPlay protocols, allowing the player to connect to a NAS as well.
In the Master version, the internal memory has been upgraded from 4+64 to an LPDDR4X 6+64 configuration, providing improved performance under heavier app load without increasing the final price. Shanling also refined the audio circuit: the power supply was optimized and several capacitors were adjusted, resulting in a slightly lusher, smoother tuning with a more open soundstage and a touch more overall clarity. The device is easily recognized by the M logo engraved on the volume wheel, along with a new boot‑up animation.
The aluminum chassis houses a 4.7” display and a 3500mAh battery supporting QC3.0 18W fast charging, offering up to 14 hours of playback through the 3.5mm output and up to 61 hours over Bluetooth. The 64GB ROM can be expanded via the Micro SD card slot on the side of the device, supporting up to 2TB. Alongside the 3.5mm single‑ended output, a 4.4mm balanced headphone connector is also available.
