Woofer

A 10‑inch paper‑cone woofer sits in a cast‑aluminum basket, providing rigidity and minimizing resonance. This combination delivers controlled yet powerful low frequencies.

Midrange driver

The 4‑inch midrange driver operates in its own internal chamber, dedicated to reproducing mid frequencies vital for natural instrument and vocal clarity.

Tweeter

The 1‑inch anodized aluminum dome tweeter ensures clear, extended highs, preserving airiness and detail in the music.

Transitioning between drivers is managed by a 13-component crossover network employing iron-core inductors and Mylar capacitors. This sophisticated crossover ensures natural, distortion-free band transitions, maintaining sound unity and stability.

The loudspeaker’s rear panel includes a three-position acoustic balance control for fine-tuning the soundstage.
Neutral setting for quieter environments (HI), -1.5 dB middle position for moderately live rooms (MID), and -3 dB attenuation for rooms with hard surfaces (LO).
This feature is ideal for those wishing to tailor their loudspeakers’ behavior to room acoustics without external EQ or DSP devices.

To achieve precise stereo imaging and linear frequency response, the Model Five requires proper positioning. The manufacturer recommends 15–60 cm distance from the rear wall and at least 60 cm from corners to balance bass response.
The loudspeaker provides a wide soundstage, maintaining stability within ±20° horizontal angles. Adjusting the speakers’ toe-in angle lets listeners customize spatial perception and soundstage depth according to personal preference.

The loudspeaker delivers excellent performance right out of the box, but the manufacturer recommends at least 8 hours of moderate volume break-in time. During this period, the moving parts of the drivers reach their optimal flexibility, resulting in richer, more natural sound.
