TOPPING D10S
Desktop USB DAC
The TOPPING D10S is a USB DAC with line-level, optical and coaxial outputs. It uses XMOS (XU208) + ES9038Q2M + OPA2134 and a customized Thesycon driver (Windows) to support maximum PCM384kHz/32bit and DSD256 (Native) decoding, as well as per-indicator display of format and sampling rate.
The D10S also provides an operational amplifier socket to allow easy swapping to another operational amplifier for improved sound, if required.
The D10S is compatible with Android, Windows (7 or later), MAC computers. The D10S can automatically turn on and off when the computer is started.
D10S is Hi-Res Audio, CE, ROHS and FCC certified.
ESS DAC CHIP
At the cutting edge of technology, Topping's DAC D10s use ESS Technology's ES9038Q2M chip. This component is among the best hardware solutions for high precision audio decoding, especially with the famous HYPERSTREAM 32 BIT architecture. This chip model features advanced reconstruction filters and excellent fineness. 
XMOS INTERFACE
The USB-B input (USB-2 standard) works via the XMOS U208 USB interface. This is a high quality component that no longer needs to prove itself in the world of high fidelity music, and supports very high resolution/high sample rate digital data streams for an accurate, rich and detailed listening experience.
This USB interface features an asynchronous architecture that can overcome digital noise as well as signal fluctuations from the source if the latter does not have a reference clock suitable for Hi-Fi audio use. This significantly increases the accuracy of the sound compared to conventional DACs and sound cards.
INTERCHANGEABLE OPA AMPLIFIER
The output stage of the D10s is powered by an LME49720NA operational amplifier mounted on a DIP8 socket. The OPA is removable and the user can easily swap it out for testing purposes and find the best sound for his personal needs.
UNIVERSAL CONNECTIVITY
The analogue output is available via a stereo RCA connector. Just connect it to a preamplifier connected to an amplifier, an integrated amplifier or passive speakers and your audio system is up and running. You can also connect the analogue output to a headphone amplifier and benefit from all the excellent sonic effects of the D10s when listening with headphones.
The D10s has a digital output, available via a coaxial SPDIF connector and an optical SPDIF connector. This output supports audio streams from 24bit - 192kHz and can re-encode 1-bit data streams (DSD) up to DOP64.
This feature allows you to bypass the conversion stage and use the D10s as a USB-S/PDIF interface. The D10s can then be connected to any S/PDIF device on the fly, a particularly useful feature for audiophiles who already have a powerful DAC that lacks a USB input.
The USB-B input on the right edge provides the connection to the computer/OTG smartphone as well as power to the device. The latter therefore requires no additional cable to power it, allowing for space-saving and clean installations.
COMPACT DESIGN
Measuring 103 mm (width) x 146 mm (depth) x 37 mm (height), the D10s is one of the most compact desktop HIFI DACs available on the market.
It is housed in a stylish 100% brushed aluminium enclosure. The robust enclosure is able to effectively block noise generated by other electronic devices, preventing unwanted interference to the audio signal.
The screen shows in real time the encoding type of the audio files being played (PCM/DSD) and the sampling rate of the digital data stream. This allows you to check at a glance that the conversion is progressing as planned and that the DAC is operating under the best conditions.
