Upgraded Linear Power Supply Design
The ARES 15th features an upgraded linear power supply section, incorporating a custom capacitor bank branded “DENAFRIPS,” OEM-manufactured in accordance with DENAFRIPS’ audio specifications. This carefully engineered power stage ensures stable and clean power delivery across the entire circuit.
In addition to constant-current LDO linear regulators, a large heatsink is securely attached to enhance thermal management and long-term reliability. To power the FPGA, modular USB module, and balanced R-2R ladder networks, eight multi-stage LDO linear regulators are employed, ensuring optimal voltage regulation and noise suppression.
DENAFRIPS meticulously hand-winds the oversized O-Core transformer in-house, integrating multiple layers of copper shielding between the windings. This design effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic fields (EMF), contributing to lower system noise and superior audio purity.
