The Denafrips IRIS 15th is the entry-level digital-to-digital converter (DDC) in the Denafrips lineup – yet it embodies the brand's fifteen years of experience in digital audio technology.
Careful development and refinement have incorporated numerous aspects from our flagship DAC's core design philosophy, featuring an entirely new FPGA architecture to reconstruct digital signals and high-precision clock technology to reproduce music with exceptional clarity, precision, and natural realism.
The heart of the IRIS 15th is the Denafrips custom-designed FPGA-DSP processing core, which works in harmony with FIFO buffering and rescheduling technology to eliminate transmission jitter and timing errors. Every digital datum is processed with the utmost accuracy to provide a pure, stable, distortion-free output signal.
Powered by a high-performance STM32F466 ARM MCU USB module, the IRIS 15th ensures full compatibility with PC, Mac, and Raspberry Pi systems. Combined with FIFO buffers and femtosecond crystal oscillators, the IRIS 15th transforms conventional computer playback into professional digital audio transmission, offering unmatched clarity, transparency, and accuracy.
The IRIS 15th is equipped with a robust aluminum housing, sourced from the same series as DENAFRIPS' high-end models, achieving an entry-level housing configuration at an entry-level price.
It completely replaces the original steel housing. The new housing is built with precision CNC machining, featuring a combination of anodizing and fine satin polishing. This not only significantly enhances mechanical stability, vibration resistance, and thermal performance but also provides a rich metallic sheen that highlights Denafrips' uncompromising craftsmanship pursuit.
This sophisticated mechanical process results in improvements in both visual and durability aspects, while simultaneously creating a solid foundation for superior sound stability and long-term reliability.
