While conventional headphones and earphones can easily exceed the volume levels considered safe for children, KidJamz headphones use a proprietary volume limiter built into the driver structure to keep the sound pressure level (SPL) near the doctor-recommended 85 dB*, protecting little ears and helping develop good listening habits that last a lifetime.*The 85 dB limit is based on the industrial standard 1 mW audio output of a typical portable audio device.
The built-in switch allows parents to temporarily disable the volume limiter, so KidJamz can be used even in noisy environments, such as while traveling.
