The Fosi Audio ZP3 balanced preamplifier was developed in response to user demand for a control hub with multiple audio inputs. Its three inputs and outputs allow multiple audio devices to be integrated into a single system.

The 2.0-channel preamplifier combines source selection, volume adjustment, tone control, balance adjustment and high-pass filter management in a single device, while the included remote control provides access to the most important functions from the listening position.

The ZP3 offers two RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input, allowing up to three analog audio sources to be connected simultaneously.

You can switch between connected audio sources using the controls on the device or the included infrared remote control. The range of inputs simplifies centralized control of home audio systems containing both balanced and unbalanced components.

With RCA, XLR and SUB outputs, the Fosi Audio ZP3 can be integrated into a variety of home audio systems. The RCA and XLR connections can be used with compatible power amplifiers or powered speakers, while the dedicated SUB output is designed for connecting a powered subwoofer.

The ZP3 supports conversion between RCA and XLR signals, allowing audio sources and output devices with different connection types to be linked. The balanced XLR input and output enable a system connection designed to support cleaner signal transmission.

The ZP3 features three selectable high-pass filter settings to accommodate different speaker and subwoofer systems. In addition to full-range operation, lower cutoff frequencies of 80 Hz and 120 Hz can be selected for the RCA and XLR outputs.

The high-pass filter removes low-frequency signals from the RCA and XLR outputs, directing primarily the midrange and treble to the main speakers while allowing bass frequencies to be sent to a powered subwoofer through the SUB output, which can support clearer detail and a more balanced system sound.

Separate bass and treble controls allow the ZP3 sound signature to be tailored to the speakers, room and individual listening preferences. The bass range can be adjusted by ±12 dB, while the treble range offers ±6 dB of adjustment.

The tone control circuit can be bypassed when a more direct signal path without tone correction is preferred. Separate left and right channel balance controls also allow the stereo balance to be customized.

The Fosi Audio ZP3 separately remembers the previously selected volume level for each input source. When switching between inputs, there is no need to manually readjust the appropriate volume level for each source every time.

Per-input volume memory is particularly useful when using audio sources with different output levels. The feature makes managing a home audio system with multiple devices more personalized and convenient.

The ZP3 incorporates ELNA capacitors, an NJR NJU72315 volume control IC and gold-plated RCA sockets. These carefully selected components are designed to support low noise, low distortion and accurate signal transmission.

Electronic volume control enables precise adjustment and remote operation. The components and circuit design aim to maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio and detailed, high-fidelity sound reproduction.

The balanced XLR output offers a signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of at least 112 dB, THD+N of no more than 0.0007% and a noise floor of no more than 6 µV, characteristics that define clean and detailed analog signal transmission.

The unbalanced RCA output delivers a signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of at least 115 dB, THD+N of no more than 0.0008% and a noise floor of no more than 4 µV. SINAD of at least 113 dB and crosstalk of no more than -130 dB support accurate stereo reproduction and effective separation between the two channels.

The included infrared remote control lets you adjust the volume, switch between input sources and turn the device on or off without leaving the listening position. The most frequently used functions are therefore conveniently accessible from a distance.

One-touch source switching and volume adjustment simplify the management of a system containing multiple audio devices. Combined with per-input volume memory, remote operation provides fast and personalized control.

The Fosi Audio ZP3 aluminum alloy housing provides a clean metallic appearance and solid construction. Clearly arranged front-panel controls provide direct access to volume, tone, balance and additional settings.

The metal housing provides enhanced resistance to electromagnetic interference. The design aims to protect the internal audio circuitry and support reliable operation in a variety of home audio systems.
