The Kii SEVEN is the most impressive compact monitor speaker for music recording, production, and mixing. Leveraging Kii Audio's significant presence in the world of professional studios, we can now offer your studio a compact and more cost-effective speaker solution. Integrating your workflow is easier than ever, thanks to versatile inputs: analog, AES, or SPDIF and TOSLink connectors available on the optional Kii CONTROL monitor controller. Through integrated streaming options like Tidal Connect or Spotify Connect, you can easily connect to the Kii SEVEN speakers via your favorite player or mobile device.
Alternatively, create connections to your Dante Audio system via an IP network, or combine multiple Kii THREE and Kii SEVEN units for Dolby Atmos mixing. The cardioid dispersion ensures excellent sound performance in any room, making any mix sound excellent outside the studio, even in projects where the acoustics might not be ideal. Kii CONTROL
Digital preamplifier and USB interface with lossless volume control
The Kii CONTROL turns the Kii SEVEN into a complete playback system of the highest sound quality and usability. It offers a user interface for the speakers and functions as a digital preamplifier.
Connect a CD player/drive, server, streamer, TV, or set-top box to the controller for an impressively audiophile, comprehensive system with minimal space requirements.
All inputs are located on the rear connection panel and can be activated with touch buttons around the volume control. A dedicated input button (labeled XLR) switches to the speaker's existing hardware input, which can still be used as an analog or digital input. The Kii CONTROL connects with a single included CAT6 cable, providing power through this connection. No additional power supply is needed. Importantly, the Kii CONTROL allows lossless volume control within the Kii SEVEN’s DSP, maintaining the clearest signal path possible. The large volume control offers mute or dim functions and manual power control (off, standby, LED brightness, DIM function, and limiter indication). A dedicated touch button provides direct access to up to six user-defined preset profiles. Menu navigation and an OLED display greatly expand settings options while providing access to more advanced system settings, including manual power control. Key functions such as volume, source, and mute can be controlled and accessed via remote and are compatible with most infrared remotes (RC5 type or Apple Remote).
The Kii CONTROL offers three additional digital inputs for the Kii SEVEN: coaxial SPDIF, optical TOSLINK, and USB (up to LPCM 24/384kHz or DSD64/128 via USB).
ATTENTION: The following features will be available from fall 2024 after a free firmware update: the standalone speaker unit (without Kii Control) will have integrated Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and its own Bluetooth connectivity function. With the soon-to-be-released Kii HOME app, the streaming experience can be maximized in up to 12 different zones, controlled from a smart device, which will also be available as a free option.
