Its core is the ESS ES9069 DAC, capable of decoding 768 kHz/32-bit PCM and native DSD512, ensuring crystal-clear audio resolution. What makes the UA7 special is the two clearly visible JAN6418 vacuum tubes that provide a rich, tube-like sound, with the option to switch to a solid-state output for a cleaner, more neutral profile. Combined with the OP+BUF amplifier architecture, the UA7 delivers up to 577 mW output power at 32 Ω, which is sufficient to confidently drive high-impedance or high-power-demand headphones.
Built into a compact aluminum casing, the UA7 is sleek and robust, weighing just 48.5 g. The 0.87-inch OLED screen provides real-time playback information, while the multifunctional wheel offers intuitive control. It features 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced outputs, making it compatible with a wide range of devices. The USB-C connection ensures plug-and-play operation with Android, Windows, and macOS devices, while the Shanling Eddict Player app allows for deeper customization (only on Android/Windows devices).
