HIGH-END CLASS-A HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER
The Musician Andromeda headphone amplifier is a fully balanced, pure Class-A design, capable of driving headphones with impedances between 15 and 600 ohms at an impressive 131 dB signal-to-noise ratio. A robust output stage and low-noise linear power supply ensure clean and powerful drive for low-sensitivity, power-hungry headphones that are difficult to drive. Its sleek, clean aluminium housing blends well with the look of the Musician, matching the Pegasus and Draco D/A converters in size and appearance.
PRECISION VOLUME CONTROL
The output volume can be adjusted using the rotary knob on the front panel, a function that is solved by a precision ALPS potentiometer. The output power reaches 350 mW even with 600 ohm headphones.
Linear power supply
The Musician Andromeda features the same monocrystalline copper wire-wound toroidal transformer linear power supply as the Pegasus D/A converter, which automatically switches to any mains voltage. The power supply effectively eliminates electrical noise from the mains, preserving the original dynamics and detail of the musical performance. The built-in aluminium heat sink ensures proper heat dissipation of the amplifier stage for stable operation.
The Andromeda has been built with the shortest possible signal paths for high sound quality. High-tech, Class A symmetrical circuits guarantee flawless signal transmission and a high-dynamic, detailed, high-level listening experience.
