One of the key developments of the Arya Stealth is HiFiMAN’s proprietary Stealth Magnets technology. The special shape of the magnets is designed to create as little obstruction as possible for the sound waves as they leave the driver. As a result, reflections and diffraction effects that can affect sound clarity in conventional planar magnetic designs are reduced.

The Arya Stealth’s planar magnetic driver uses an extremely thin, nanometer-thickness diaphragm. One of the main advantages of planar magnetic technology is that the entire surface of the diaphragm is moved by an even force, giving the driver far greater control than conventional dynamic drivers.

The exceptionally low-mass diaphragm enables fast transient response, low distortion and high resolution. Because the moving mass is lower, the diaphragm can follow even the finest musical details more easily, while fast impulses and dynamic passages are reproduced with natural precision.

The Arya Stealth is a fully open-back headphone, complemented by HiFiMAN’s patented Window Shade design. The special grille structure not only protects the driver, but is also engineered to interfere with sound wave propagation as little as possible.

The open structure reduces internal reflections and resonances, resulting in a wider soundstage, more accurate positioning and cleaner imaging. The Window Shade design also gives the headphones a distinctive visual character.

The headband design focuses on stable fit and even weight distribution. The structure adapts to a wide range of head sizes while keeping clamping force balanced, helping the headphones remain comfortable during extended use.

The CNC-machined and hand-polished metal headband provides a durable construction. The height of the ear cups can be adjusted easily, allowing the headphones to be personalized for an optimal fit.

The Arya Stealth’s thick, asymmetrically shaped ear pads follow the natural form of the ear. The angled design improves fit while providing more even pressure distribution across different contact points on the head.

The head-contacting surface features a polyester covering designed to improve acoustic transparency. The outer section of the ear pads uses a pleather covering, giving a more durable feel while helping the pads retain their shape and stable fit. The lightweight ear cups give the headphones a slimmer appearance, while the total weight is just 430 grams.

The Arya Stealth uses a replaceable cable system, making it easier to use different cables. The headphones use 3.5 mm connectors, providing broad cable compatibility.

The included cable is made with crystalline copper conductors and comes with a 6.35 mm connector, making it ready for direct use with many desktop headphone amplifiers.

The cable can later be replaced with a 4.4 mm or XLR version if required, allowing the headphones to be easily integrated with audio systems offering balanced connectivity.

The sound quality of the Arya Stealth scales well with the connected electronics. Using higher-end desktop headphone amplifiers can further improve bass depth, spatial presentation and instrument separation, while a balanced connection can further refine the sense of space and channel separation.

Planar magnetic drivers typically reach their peak performance after break-in. HiFiMAN recommends around 150 hours of normal use for the diaphragm to reach its optimal operating condition, with no special break-in procedure required.
