The final D8000 DC planar magnetic, interchangeable-cable flagship headphones are in fact a completely redesigned D8000. While the black mart aluminium housing has a similar look to its predecessor, the manufacturer's Air Film Damping System (AFDS) planar driver with sensitive and detailed sound offers lower distortion, transient response and overall better resolution. Another notable exterior change is the DC's new ear pads, which are one and a half times thicker than the original D8000's.
This headphone comes in two versions. The standard black version has a stronger emphasis on low frequencies, while the matte silver DC Pro model delivers firmer bass and more refined highs. The acoustic chamber design differs between the two versions, and the 4.4mm and XLR cables packaged with the DC are OFC copper cables, while the DC Pro's cables with the same connectors are silver-plated.
The "DC" in the headphone's name refers to the Italian musical term "Da Capo (D.C.)", which means "back to the beginning". True to the name, final offers a premium headphone that has been reimagined and renewed in every way, so that everyone can experience the joy of music again and again.
