Kii Audio Three System is an ultra–high-end active loudspeaker pair with a digital controller, built on Bruno Putzeys’ Ncore amplification and high‑resolution, linear‑phase DSP crossover. Its monolithic composite cabinet with aluminum front and rear plates and rigid internal bracing minimizes resonances, delivering exceptional transient accuracy and low distortion for demanding home listening and professional studio environments alike.
Each Three employs six individually amplified, DAC‑fed drivers: a waveguided 1" dome tweeter, a 5" midrange, and four 6.5" woofers mounted on the sides and rear form the three‑way array. Per pair, 6×250 W × 2 Ncore amplification (3000 W total) together with precision FIR DSP ensures highly controlled, low‑distortion reproduction, with an optional low‑latency mode available for studio use.
Active Wave Focusing creates a cardioid radiation pattern through the low/mid band, significantly reducing energy reflected from the rear wall and simplifying placement in both small and large rooms. In the Three, the effect extends unusually low; adding the BXT bass module pushes control to even lower frequencies and higher SPL, making the system scalable and future‑proof.
Connectivity and control: Three provides balanced analog XLR and AES3 digital inputs as standard. The optional Kii Control expands source connectivity via USB Audio (PCM up to 24‑bit/384 kHz, DSD64 DoP), coaxial S/PDIF, and optical TOSLINK, and offers precise volume control, input selection, a display, and IR remote support. Proprietary KiiLink over Cat6 provides robust digital communication with the loudspeakers and BXT module(s) in a stereo setup. Boundary (Free/Wall/Corner) and Contour settings allow rapid adjustment of bass and overall tonality to the room.
