The Topping L50 is a desktop headphone amplifier with an architecture optimised for high performance. It features a new generation of higher performance NFCA circuitry, based on the version used in the excellent A30 Pro model. A versatile device with high power reserves and variable gain for all types and sensitivities of headphones.
The L50's NFCA circuit provides significant output power, double that of the L30 at 300 Ω impedance. The new design results in a very low noise floor of only 0.3 µV, a dynamic range of 145 dB and a harmonic distortion of 0.00006%..
The Topping L50 has both conventional asymmetrical and balanced connectors, making it easy to adapt to the user's system. It offers a standard RCA as an asymmetrical input and a 6.35 mm TRS Jack as a symmetrical input. For headphone outputs, there is a 4-pin balanced XLR and a conventional 6.35 mm asymmetrical Jack socket.
When switched off the L50 passes the input signal directly to the RCA and TRS outputs without any intervention or amplification. This allows it to be used for active speakers or connected to larger audio systems, where it can be switched to headphone listening with a single flick of the switch, without the need for any cabling.
