While traditional headphones and earphones can easily exceed volumes considered safe for children, the KidJamz headphones utilize a proprietary volume limiter built into the speaker structure to keep the sound pressure level (SPL) close to the recommended 85 dB* by doctors, thereby protecting small ears and helping to cultivate good lifelong listening habits.
*The 85 dB limit is based on a typical industry-standard 1 mW audio output of a portable audio device.
Safe Listening: Volume Limiting Switch
The built-in switch allows parents to temporarily disable the volume limiter, making the KidJamz usable in noisy environments, such as during travel.
