While traditional headphones and earphones can easily exceed volume levels considered safe for children, KidJamz headphones use a proprietary volume limiter built into the speakers' structure to keep the sound pressure level (SPL) around the doctor-recommended 85 dB*, thus protecting little ears and helping to establish lifelong good listening habits.
*The 85 dB limit is based on a typical portable audio device industry standard 1 mW audio output.
Safe Listening: Volume Limiter Switch
The built-in switch allows parents to temporarily disable the volume limiter, making KidJamz usable in noisy environments, such as during travel.
